ABOUT
What is HSINMUN?
Model United Nations is a conference simulation of the practices, actions, and debates of the real United Nations. These simulations are initiated by students, brought forth by students, and participated by students, thus giving MUN its unique nature. MUN encourages students to take an affirmative role as a global citizen, educating participants about current events, topics in international relations, diplomacy, and the UN agenda. MUN participants speak up and connect to the world through simulation in a UN conference. Students are given the chance to step into the shoes of diplomats and exercise negotiation, public speaking, and problem solving skills. HSINMUN has been a staple event for many years and this year is no exception. We aim to bring you the best experience possible. We have made several modifications and additions to the conference this year, the most obvious ones being having more current issues for debate and inviting notable keynote speakers.

What is HSINMUN Press?
At every conference, the HSINMUN press team, consisting of photographers, layout designers, and article writers, works hard behind the scenes to produce conference issues capturing events throughout the entire span of the conference. Article writers go to assigned committees, listening to debates and reporting on the resolved topics; photographers can be seen in all conference rooms, silently capturing memories to be displayed in the press issue; layout designers piece together the pages of HSINMUN X. HSINMUN conference issues include content ranging from the heated debates of respective committees and overviews of global issues to the best dressed and sleepiest delegates of MUN. In celebration of HSINMUN X, this year's press team strives to restructure the layout of issues and have issues completed earlier so all HSINMUN participants can look back and relive the memorable conference.
